I missed getting a blog out to you last week. I am so sorry about that and I hope that today’s sharing will give us what we need to stay close to and serve our Lord as we are called.
Sunday morning I shared about how our God, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit loves each of us His creation. I will share one of the scriptures which I shared on Sunday but first want to share from Colossians 3:23-24:”Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

These are powerful words from the bible. We are to work at whatever the Lord sets before us with all of our heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Think about how much time you give to your jobs out in our community and how hard we work at home to provide a safe and secure place for our family. These are both so imoportant to do, but the service we are called to by our Lord is what will really define our accomplishments before the Lord.

Sunday morning we looked at Jer. 31:3 which reads:”The Lord appeared to us in the past saying I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Just think about what is said here: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Our Lord didn’t create us and then forget about us, He will never stop loving us and his unfailing kindness is given to us daily.

So we are to give back to Him who has given so much to each of us. Give back to Him out of love as He loves us uncondictionally. In these uncertain times we see our church going through changes as to how we worship each week. And we hope to slowly be open to ministries which have been put on hold for a while. We need each of you as you able and have been called to assist where you can.

Trust in the Lord who created you and let us make this the church, the church it can be. To minister to the less fortunate in our community by the means which the Lord has given us.

May God bless, Pastor Steve
